Dalient - adj. 1) The positive quality of certain entities or beings which causes them to have a "perception of value" that (typically, as a rule) places what a given someone "can build or do" or "know" to help accomplish these ends in priority over (i.e. the preceding abilities are considered more 'valuable' to the Dalient observer than the ones listed below) criteria such as: 

• the perceived subject's 'style' (including the subject's ability to conform to standards which by themselves produce no technological benefit or constructive product)
• who or what the perceived subject can made look bad
• what the perceived subject can destroy for purely (or most likely) non-constructive reasons

2) (summarized definition) Employs a highly constructive value system.

These are the exact differences between the content of this document and "IALD DALI: DALIENTDEF 20000101":

The text from "Dalient people would most likely ..." to the end of the following paragraph (which explains away the first paragraph, basically) has now been removed. Not that these lines were ever intended to be considered part of the published definition, they have been removed from the document, and the concept those lines were attempting to address is now becoming part of the word "solidalient".

Inserted the following clarifying text, which does not change in any way the original intention for content or meaning of the definition:

"(i.e. the preceding abilities are considered more 'valuable' to the Dalient observer than the ones listed below)"

Also, the title and authoring entity statement were added, but by doing this the content of the document has not changed.
